Clients have their own multi-story head office & wanted various low-maintenance plant solutions for a variety of foyers, boardrooms, stairwells & open roof garden. They asked us tfor ideas...
Starting in main foyer, we placed large 2.5m Dracaenas either side of entrance, their informal bold shapes & twisting natural-timber trunks went well with the hard modern decor. On the first floor foyer, we used 2m Ficus Topiary on big tristed stems. This suited the more formal & smaller scale of this space, with same planters used still relating to foyer below...
With a large internal stairwell, they wanted something natural-looking to break-up empty voids around stairs. We custom-made a 6m tall black bamboo tree, using natural-wood & shaping foliage to spiral upwards with stairs to a large open canopy in void above. The result was a striking combination of natural & artificial materials, fitting perfectly into shape of stairwell...
In boardroom we went for a 'shabby-chic' Magnolia arrangement to soften & suit their existing planters & decor...
